Vision and Academic Objectives

The fundamental mission of our department is to cultivate researchers who critically examine the historical stages and contemporary trends of Turkish Language and Literature through a holistic perspective. Our educational discipline aims to produce intellectually sophisticated individuals who master the literary canon, utilize the aesthetic and structural features of the language with proficiency, and strictly avoid arbitrary expressions or methodologically unfounded text production. In this context, our priority is to contribute qualified researchers to the world of science and culture by collaborating synchronously with national and international departments of Turkish Language and Literature.

For their scientific research, our students can utilize the rich collections and digital databases of the university's Main Library as well as the Vâhîd Paşa Provincial Public Library, which holds a deep-rooted heritage in the region.
